On Saturday, Feb 7, 2009, Brian, Ti, Nate, and I brewed my first homebrew. A brown ale inspired by Bell’s Best Brown, there was some improvising, a longer than planned boil, and some last minute runs to the store for ice. All of this due to the fact that Brian’s trusty immersion wort chiller had finally given up the ghost. We mourned it briefly, then drank more beer.

In the end, we ended up with about 4 gallons of what I thought was a pretty tasty brew.
We unveiled it at my St. Paddy’s Day party on March 14, 2009. It went over well.
